REMEMBERING COLLEAGUES AND SUPPORTING BRAIN TUMOUR RESEARCH

Almost one year ago we lost our dear friend and colleague Ben Smalley from Cohort 19, AssocRICS Training Academy. Ben had only qualified 6 months prior to his passing and was progressing well on mandates and thriving in his new role as an AssocRICS Surveyor. He was one of the fittest guys you were ever likely to meet. Ben was a keen triathlete and cyclist and, as a tribute, his Connells S&V friends and colleagues are now taking part in '1000km for our friend Ben' challenge. They plan to run, swim, walk or cycle a combined 1000km in one month starting from 8 November 2024, one year since Ben’s sad passing, to raise money and lend support to the Brain Tumour Research charity, an organisation his family now hold dear. We’d love for you to join us and help support the Brain Tumour Research charity (you can use the Just Giving link below).

Did you know, brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

We would also like to use this as an opportunity to remember other colleagues we have lost in service too, in what is a month of remembrance.

This is a tribute to a wonderful friend and other colleagues. May their memories continue to uplift and inspire us.
